Yorkshire Puddings

Yorkshire Puddings

A standard with traditional English Roast Beef - these golden-brown puffy Yorkshire Puddings are just great! For very best results use half bread-making flour and half regular flour - the higher gluten content gives Yorkshires that stay beautifully puffed up..

Yorkshire Puddings Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • olive oil or butter
  • 2 eggs (must be at room temperature)
  • 2 cups milk (500ml)
  • 2 cups flour (284 gm)
  • salt, pepper or seasoning to taste
  • METHOD:

Pour oil, butter, or drippings from roast beef into containers (ceramic ramekins give great results!) and heat in oven with main course.

Lightly beat eggs, add milk and lightly beat in the flour and seasonings.

Pour into hot containers and bake at 375°F or 190°C.

Yorkshires should puff up and are ready when golden-brown.
