Easy Chocolate Truffles


A delightfully easy recipe that Marie makes every Christmas. Use the best quality chocolate chips for a superior flavour.

Attractively packaged they make an ideal gift!

Easy Chocolate Truffles Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 cups (18 oz - 510 gm) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1¼ cups (10½ fl oz - 300 ml) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) vanilla extract
  •  

    Optional coatings: coloured or chocolate sprinkles, cocoa powder, finely chopped nuts or coconut flakes

    METHOD:

    Melt the chocolate chips in a double boiler with the condensed milk.

    Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla.

    Pour into a bowl and chill for 2 - 3 hours until firm.

    Shape into 1" (2.5 cm) balls and roll in the coating(s) of your choice.

    Store in the fridge.
