Pumpkin Pie Spice


You can buy pumpkin pie spice, ready made, or simply make your own. The finished mixture is almost identical to the British 'Mixed Spice' which is not to be confused with allspice.

Pumpkin Pie Spice Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 tsp (15 ml) cinnamon
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp (3 ml) nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp (3 ml) allspice
  • 3 cloves
    		•

    METHOD:

    Grind the ingredients together with a pestle and mortar.

    Store unused spice in a tightly sealed jar.
