Spicy Potato Kebabs


Delicious spicy potato kebabs are excellent with other barbecued food and are so simple to prepare! Give them a go at your next barbecue.

Spicy Potato Kebabs Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 pounds (1 kg) new potatoes
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) hot, spicy ketchup
  • 3 tbsp (45 ml) ketchup
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) curry powder
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1" chunk ginger root
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • METHOD:

    Cut the potatoes, skin on, into 1½" (2 cm) pieces and cook for about 10 minutes in boiling water.

    Do not over-cook!

    Soak wooden skewers in cold water.

    Drain off the water and allow potatoes to dry on paper towel or a grid.

    Place all other ingredients, except oil in the blender, or a small food processor and blend till smooth.

    Coat the potatoes with this mixture in a bowl.

    Spike the potatoes onto the skewers (they will tend to stay intact if you pierce through from the skin side).

    Brush the potatoes with oil and grill, turning regularly until browned and cooked through.
