Egg in a Keg


1 egg per person

1 slice ham or bacon per person

1 slice bread per person

butter or margarine

salt and pepper to taste

grated Cheddar cheese



Butter one slice of bread per person and squeeze into the ramekin, buttered side down. 
Press bread against sides of dish to force crust above the rim and make enough room for the egg.
Break one egg into each ramekin. Add chopped ham or bacon if desired, and top with cheese slivers.
Sprinkle with ground black pepper and other selected seasonings.
Then bake at 375°F or 190°C for 15 to 25 minutes, till cheese is browned and eggs are cooked to desired consistency.
Remove egg in a kegs from the ramekins and serve. (You can also serve in the ramekins)
