Cheese Straws

Cut the butter into small pieces and place in the food processor with all the other ingredients, apart from the egg for glazing. Process until everything comes together as a dough. Roll out on a floured surface to 1/8" or 3mm thickness and cut into strips about 3/8" or 1 cm wide. Place on parchment paper or a Silpat and brush with the beaten egg. Bake at 350°F or 180°C for 12 to 15 minutes until golden-brown. Allow to cool slightly before placing on a cooling rack. |
