Spicy Barbecue Sauce


1 cup (250ml) tomato ketchup
1 cup (250ml) white vinegar
1 cup (250ml) prepared mustard
1/2 tsp salt (3ml)
4 cloves garlic
1 tsp ground black pepper (5ml)
1 tsp dried oregano (5ml)
1/2 cup (120 gm) white sugar
1 tsp cayenne pepper (5ml)
3½ tsp chili powder (18ml)
1 small yellow onion, chopped



Combine all ingredients in an electric blender and puree until smooth.

This sauce improves with age, store in a sealed container in the fridge.
